1. Who We Are
FarmTrack ("we", "us", "our") is a crop and labour management platform built for Zambian farmers. This policy explains how we handle data collected through farm-track.app.
2. Data We Collect
- Account data — email address, farm name, location and phone number provided at registration.
- Farm data — crops, fields, workers, tasks, harvests, inputs and attendance records you enter into the app.
- Usage data — pages visited, features used and device type (no advertising IDs are collected).
- Location data — GPS coordinates if you use the field mapping feature (only with your permission).
3. How We Use Your Data
- Provide, maintain and improve the FarmTrack service.
- Sync your farm data securely to the cloud so you can access it from multiple devices.
- Send transactional emails (password reset, verification) — no marketing without consent.
- Aggregate, anonymised analytics to improve farming features for all Zambian users.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Supabase (hosted in the EU-West region) with row-level security enforced — only you can read or write your own farm records. Passwords are never stored in plain text. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.3.
5. Sharing Your Data
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share data only with:
- Supabase Inc. — our database and authentication provider.
- Africa's Talking — only if you use the SMS notification feature (your phone number is sent to their API to deliver messages).
- Law enforcement, only when required by Zambian law.
6. Your Rights
- Access — export all your data as JSON from Settings → Export.
- Correction — edit any record directly in the app.
- Deletion — email hello@farm-track.app to request permanent account deletion.
- Portability — download your data at any time from the Export page.
7. Cookies
We use a single session cookie issued by Supabase to keep you logged in. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are set. See our Cookie Policy for details.
8. Children's Privacy
FarmTrack is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. We will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect.
